Because we distribute, and receive, new items daily, please understand that we cannot maintain a live inventory of what is on hand. But we will do our best to serve your needs and help you access needed supplies and food.

  2. Grab a bucket

  3. Fill your bucket with pantry items

  4. Check-out (Remember, it’s free!)

  5. Take your non-pantry items, large items, or fresh produce (these are separate from your “bucket” items)

  6. Come back next week!

How It Works

Foscoe Home Team Food Pantry Guest Expectations Agreement

Welcome to the Foscoe Home Team Food Pantry! We’re honored to serve you and grateful for your cooperation in helping us maintain a respectful, fair, and efficient shopping experience for everyone

By shopping with us, you agree to the following expectations:

 Shopper Eligibility

  • To access the pantry, you must present a valid ID showing your full name and current address.

  • Your address must be located in Avery, Watauga, or Ashe counties (NC).

 Respect Item Limits

  • Please honor the posted limits for each item. These limits help ensure that all guests have access to the resources they need.

  • If you’re unsure about a limit, ask a volunteer—we’re happy to help!

 Mind Your Bucket

  • Do not overfill your bucket. Overfilling can lead to spills, damage to items, and unfair distribution.

  • An overfilled bucket is one where items are stacked above the rim or spilling over the top.

  • Remember, you may shop weekly.

 Follow the One-Way Shopping Path

  • Our pantry uses a one-way shopping path to keep traffic flowing smoothly and safely.

  • Please follow the signs and arrows and avoid backtracking.

 Check Out Before Leaving

  • After completing your shopping, please proceed to the checkout desk.

  • Volunteers will review your selections and help you finalize your visit.

 Grab These Items After Checkout

These items do not count toward your bucket and can be picked up after you check out:

  • Checkout aisle: Pet supplies, household goods, baby items (limits may apply)

  • Entrance area: Fresh produce, paper products, bottled water

 Be Kind and Courteous

  • Treat volunteers and fellow guests with respect and patience.

  • We’re all here to support one another—kindness goes a long way.
